Accelerating literacy in Greater Western Sydney

Stop, breathe and read – all for a good cause! Greater Western Sydney boasts 10% of Australia’s population. That’s 1 in 11 Australians!  Booktober™, an annual fundraising event launched by premier arts literacy organisation WestWords is held from 1st to 31st October, bringing stories of diverse Nationalities to life in the region.

It’s a simple process. People nominate how many books to read during October and opt in to raise funds to support WestWords provide books and literacy programs to those who may never have owned a book before.  Ready to start reading? Visit www.booktober.org.au
