Volunteer Panels To Make Museums More Accessible

During its construction, WA Museum assembled several access and inclusion panels from a wide variety of experiences from disabled people, such as spina bifida, autism, vision and hearing impairments. 

One wheelchair user suggested providing space for wheelchair turning circles through the panel. 

Museum staff passed on the feedback to architects, who made sure the museum would incorporate features that were disability-friendly.
