Starbucks management in the USA hosted a company-first virtual forum to seek employee feedback about the case of Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed black man who was shot while jogging in his local neighbourhood.

According to Global Chief Inclusion and Diversity Officer Nzinga Shaw, more than 5000 people tuned in, from field partners to leaders. More than 1400 comments were posted in the one-hour-long session.

Going forward, Starbucks aims to tackle tough topics on a bi-monthly basis.
