Giving new meaning to cleaning up your room - the European Space Agency (ESA) will kick off a project to clean up the junk orbiting the Earth.
By 2025, ESA will launch ClearSpace-1 (a combination of computer vision and AI) to help identify and remove space debris.
At the moment there's an estimated 34,000 pieces of space junk (>10cm size) and millions of others orbiting the earth at 10x speed of a bullet. As we launch more satellites and space programs - expect that junk to multiply and raise serious safety issues.
