Toxic water cleaned using electricity

A team of engineers from University of Sydney have developed a way to use electricity to clean up polluted wastewater, conducted through an electrochemical oxidation process. 

The procedure involved treating contaminated industrial wastewater with electricity using specialised electrodes.
