Forty years after the Iranian Revolution, two Australian artists were given a rare opportunity to paint a mural in the country's capital.
They are the first international artists invited and commissioned by the Tehran City Council and the Australian Embassy to paint a mural in the country.
After three weeks of traveling Iran and studying the culture, the artists were inspired to paint two men they met in a bazaar, who were repairing a traditional Persian carpet.
The finished mural is a six-storey high, 40 metre wide painting aptly called "The Carpet Repairmen".
