Tech To The Rescue: Infinite Plastic Recycling

Samsara Eco has just announced it has raised $54 million in a Series A round as it looks to reduce plastic pollution through its plastic-eating enzymes. The venture-backed startup uses enzyme-based technology to break down plastics into their molecular building blocks to produce new plastic products — which then can be broken down, again and again, creating what Samsara refers to as an infinite plastic recycling loop. As less than 10% of plastic waste is currently recycled, great innovative tech like Samsara Eco is sorely needed to combat this environmental crisis.
