Great example- "In January, millions of users deleted their WhatsApp accounts after Facebook announced that it would begin sharing WhatsApp data with the rest of the company. The exodus caused Facebook to delay its policy changes."
University researchers are suggesting we use our data as a collective bargaining chip. Algorithms, surveillance and suggestions are meaningless if the data is poor quality & volume.
What if we as individuals could manipulate the data being collected? - if we had the tools to withhold data (privacy tools), poison the data (use browsers to confuse ads/ cookie collection) and more?
People power. lets build it so.
