Spark Festival 2023: EOI for Program ContributionsSpark Festival, Australia's Festival of Innovation, Tech and Ideas, is happening again the week of October 30-November 4.

Anyone in NSW with an interest in creating and supporting future-focussed businesses is encouraged to host an event. Startups, hubs, accelerators, universities, government, corporates, professional services, consultancies and more are all welcome to contribute to the program.

AI Water Safety Platform Prevents Drownings Before They Happen

According to the World Health Organization, at least 236,000 people lose their lives each year in the water. When Israeli business Adam Bismut saw a man lose his life by drowning at the Dead Sea he was determined to stop such tragedies; he invented Sightbit. The first part of the platform is reading the state of the water: The AI can recognize a range of wave movements and detect any dangerous areas for swimmers, kayakers and anyone in or on the water.
