Priyanka Ashraf is the founder of The Creative Co-Operative, a social enterprise that supports women of colour to launch start-ups.  In 2021, Priyanka, a former lawyer, became a victim of racial abuse whilst shopping in a supermarket but had no idea where to report it.  After speaking with more than 250 people about their own experiences with racism, Priyanka partnered with legaltech company Josef to create a chatbot ‘Maya Cares’ to support First Nations, black and women of colour who experience racism and suffer mental health challenges as a result of these experiences.
