Betsy Baker, Stephen
Burstow and Michele French have each played with the idea of the self portrait
using the ‘windowness’ of the street windows as the means. You can look through
a window, see yourself reflected and in turn reflect on what it means to live
there now … or then …140 years ago. Alternatively, you can imagine how we
become part of a place while living in a space and how that shapes your looking
out into the world. Then again, you can look out a window into that world with
great frustration. Helen Wyatt, Baker Tanner Micro Gallery.
