Robot servers help decrease physical contact in a restaurant

Covid-19 has prompted successful innovative ways for restaurants to serve customers, while safely social distancing. From outdoor domes to mannequins at empty tables, the dining experience in 2020 had to be redesigned in many creative forms. A restaurant in The Netherlands has humanoid robots that welcome patrons, take their temperature, and serve drinks. While robots have been around for some time now without much success in hospitality, the higher demand for contactless experiences could become an opportunity for the advanced manufacturing industry.
