Google DeepMind continues to invest its AI research into areas that could restore cultures of centuries long gone.

The latest update to its ancient Greek restoration toolkit, Ithaca (successor to Pythia) claims to help historians restore damaged texts within 30 years of their date ranges and more.

"While Ithaca alone achieves 62% accuracy when restoring damaged texts, as soon as historians use Ithaca their performance leaps from 25% to 72%"
