Optimism about PNG and Corruption? It's true!

PNG is the Pacific's worst performing country in Transparency's Corruption Perceptions Index ranked at 137 out of 180 countries.  However Transparency PNG's chair Peter Aitsi is "cautiously optimistic" that the Marape government is making the right moves to reduce corruption in the country.  PNG's prime minister James Marape has vowed more efforts to stamp out corruption including an Independent Commission Against Corruption.
