Nature’s Essence in Wax

post-image
Margie Carew-Reid is fascinated by the unlimited visual potential of abstract pattern, and form in our landscape – from the microcosm beneath our feet to the macro patterns of the continent as seen from above - and in the heavens as we glance skywards. Margie works with natural agents, bees wax, damar resin, natural ochre, and mixed media. Her paintings evolve naturally and often derive from a previous work. There are shapes and forms that evoke the essence of the landscape; not just what you can see, but the spaces between the shapes and forms- things we can't see. https://margiecarewreid.wordpress.com/
