Modified Minecraft Creates Safe Haven for Autistic Adults and Children

The popular computer game Minecraft, which has been described as virtual Lego, has an autism-specific whitelisted version called Autcraft. Autcraft modifies the rules of Minecraft by not allowing swearing, bullying, killing and stealing, as well as providing specific in-game support and different types of activities.

Once registered and approved, players can mingle with other autistic adults, kids or their family members. The creator, Stuart Duncan, is an autistic man who also has an autistic child. He created the game to allow others on the spectrum to play Minecraft without fear of bullying or discrimination.
