Launch of New Youth Social Change Program

The Westpac Youth Impact Challenge is a nationwide initiative open to all young people around Australia aged 7 to 21 years. The Challenge aims to help young Australians solve problems in their local communities.

To take part in the Challenge, participants must identify a local problem and brainstorm an innovative business or social change idea to solve it.

Students can also register for Youth Impact HQ - a free online course for young Australians.

According to the World Health Organization, at least 236,000 people lose their lives each year in the water. When Israeli business Adam Bismut saw a man lose his life by drowning at the Dead Sea he was determined to stop such tragedies; he invented Sightbit. The first part of the platform is reading the state of the water: The AI can recognize a range of wave movements and detect any dangerous areas for swimmers, kayakers and anyone in or on the water.
