BattRE announced a brand new tech-enabled, connected electric scooter called BattRE IOT priced at INR 79,999 that comes with a one-year Internet of Things (IoT) subscription plan

BattRE IOT includes navigation assist, ride metrics, anti-theft alarm & lock, remote diagnostics, SOS alerts, voice-enabled app, speedometer and on-call alerts, riding behaviour-based suggestions as well as online service requisitions and digital records.

It travels at a top speed of 25 Km per hour, comes with 48V 30 Ah lithium-ion battery can run up to 85 km on a full charge & takes about 2.5 hours.

Magnetic Attraction: Microplastics

A Kyushu University study (2021) estimated there were 24.4 trillion pieces of microplastics in the world's upper oceans or roughly 30 billion 500-ml plastic water bottles. Microplastics are tiny, toxic and very hard to remove from the environment. But researchers in the US have discovered that some Natural Deep Eutectic Solvents (NADES) can attract and bind microplastics, making it easier to remove them from the environment.
