Many helpful ideas. We should: 

-Follow the Science and respect the Data

-Recognise the power of Digital Technology and take advantage of it

-Support more Startups- the fuel that drives economic performance

-Add value to raw materials we dig up

-Learn from economies that have no natural resources eg Singapore and Luxembourg

-Try more public/private partnerships

-Choose sectors on which to focus

-Consider better procurement practices

-Recognise that the definition of manufacturing has changed and is now more high tech

-Create hubs around universities to better connect them with business and industry

-Encourage more creativity in our schools
