The SMH reports today that Australia is well behind its recycling targets. The packaging industry has conceded for the first time that the pledge to recycle 70 per cent of plastic waste by 2025 almost certainly cannot be met.

The Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek said. “If business doesn’t voluntarily step up on plastics, I will regulate.”

IdeaSpies believes there is no excuse for missing the target. it's not just a matter of building new recycling centres. New tech needs to be trialed and adopted.

When you search plastic recycling on IdeaSpies you can see many ideas explained simply that will help to achieve the target.
