Hidden wheelchair lift at the front of a luxury London hotel

post-image

The five-star Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel is based in Russell Square, Bloomsbury, and a standard double room costs around £300 a night.

Two metal sides roll up from the front stairs allowing a wheelchair to move onto a platform, then the back of the lift rolls up behind and the lift raises the wheelchair to the level of the hotel.

Very inclusive innovation!

As the Inclusion Editor, I had some doubts about the authenticity of this video, because it was a TikTok video. So I reached out to Kimpton Fitzroy London to verify the video, and it turns out it's true.

"Hi Marcus, thank you for your message! The video is definitely true, and that is indeed our access lift. Feel free to visit Kimpton Fitzroy London anytime and ask the team to action it for you, they would be delighted to."
