Four students from Endicott College in Boston (Matthew Cruz, Greg Hosking, Luke Jodice and Jamyan Tamang) entered a 24 hour hackathon and developed an app that records and stores footage of interactions with police. Called ALive, the app stores the video files and enables users the ability to access the recordings without having to do so from the device they recorded on, meaning if something happens to the device, the user can still access the footage and potentially use it in civil or criminal complaints or at trials as evidence.
