Space is a new frontier for agricultural innovation to feed human populations. BioHarvest has achieved this with red grapes, olives, and pomegranates.
BioHarvest technology enables economical production of commercial biomass of unique plant-based metabolites (such as polyphenols, antioxidants, cannabinoids, terpenes, psychoactive molecules, proteins and more) without the need to grow the plant itself. As an example, with grapes, this production in the industrial scale proprietary bioreactors rather than on land creates some 95% less physical space needed in traditional farming. Using one seven-foot bioreactor can produce what would require 240,000 square meters of land annually.
