To practice law in the US, applicants must complete at least 7 years tertiary education, including 3 years at an accredited law school, before they are eligible to sit the Bar Exam. The authors experimented on whether Open AI could pass the Bar exam. Results were mixed, but the authors concluded that Open AI will be capable of passing the Bar Exam in the very near future.
