Introducing Habitat Pods: Biodegradable Emergency Shelters for Wildlife!
Rehabitat, led by Dr. Alex Carthey, is spearheading this groundbreaking project. These shelters are specifically designed to protect and support wildlife during the vulnerable post-fire period.
Habitat Pods provide temporary sanctuaries, safeguarding animals from predators and exposure. But their mission doesn't stop there. Recognising the importance of vegetation in wildlife habitats, these pods are uniquely designed to aid habitat recovery. By providing a safe haven for animals, the shelters also contribute to the restoration of their natural environment, promoting the regeneration of essential vegetation.
