A Game Changer in Energy for Transport

post-image

Imagine organic supermarket waste being turned into fuel for road transport.

Nordol a Dutch start-up has developed a very efficient process to liquefy biogas into a sustainable fuel for long haul transport, called bio-LNG. Together with waste management company Renewi and LNG market leader Shell, a strategic partnership has been formed to produce bio-LNG and make it available as a more sustainable fuel for long-distance transport.

Compared to diesel, bio-LNG results in significantly lower CO2 emissions and improves our air-quality. In addition, Nordsol’s technology makes it possible to produce bio-LNG locally and at an affordable price point

Excellent development. An ARENA report (2019) on biofuels noted Transport sectors is Australia's 2nd largest fossil fuel emitter. Decarbonising it should be a priority, and Oz certainly produces alot of its own organic waste!
