Beer waste into biofuel

Researchers at Northern Ireland’s Queen’s University Belfast have developed a process to transform used barley from breweries into carbon. The process has the potential to reduce waste and create an inexpensive, alternative biofuel.

At first I thought that this post meant that beer itself was going to be converted to biofuel. Bound to fail! No one is going to waste their beer and the supply of raw product would be too small. However making use of the used barley is probably advantageous to everyone including the brewery because I don't think there is much use for used barley
