Paul Bradley transformed Rostrevor Street into a public space open to people and closed to cars. Sections of Rostrevor and Ward streets in central Hamilton, New Zealand was closed or partially closed to vehicles as part of Waka Kotahi’s Innovating Streets Project. Hamilton City Council received $902,000 from an agency to determine if the area was safer and more appealing to people after the Innovating Streets project. Council removed car parks, closed the road, and created a people-friendly zone where kids could skateboard or scooter and others can hang out in the park.
