An anthem calling for freedom

French fashion designer Jean Paul GAULTIER paid tribute to Iranian women on the Paris runway using the song Baraye.

This song was written by Shervin Hajipour as the Iranian protests erupted. The lyrics used tweets from Iranians who explained their reasons for protesting for freedom from the Islamic republic It was highly praised as a song by music critics, calling it "the anthem" of the Mahsa Amini revolution.
