Adapting Work Practices To Keep Autistic Employees Engaged

post-image

auticon Ltd, a consultancy that employs autistic adults, adapted its guidance documents for neurodiverse employees when told they were too "bright or busy".

They also communicated to staff that phone calls were a perfectly acceptable alternative instead of video calls, providing them with the option not to join video calls.

The company also uses menti.com to allow people to post questions anonymously during webinars and pigeonholelive.com to increase engagement.

Psychological safety is a very important concept hence more people should be able to post ideas and questions anonymously. At IdeaSpies people can post their ideas with an Idea Spy name which is fun as well as anonymous.
