Abstraction through colour

post-image
Sydney artist Liz Payne’s vibrant and distinctive work explores abstraction through colour, shape and form with a combination of mediums -paint, embroidery and beading. With occurring themes of symmetry, symbolism and the power of pattern being explored, the works grab the viewers’ attention and draw them closer to explore the meticulously detailed and intricate textures, layered upon and hand stitched. All her works are designed, painted, hand embroidered and beaded, so each work is one of a kind and a one-off original. Liz’s large scale embroidered artworks, can take months (even years) to complete.   https://www.lizlpayne.com/
