This competition has been designed to encourage Indigenous Australian students in Kindy to Year 12 studying in NSW. The Group section of the competition is offered to support Aboriginal students working together with their classmates to develop a shared story, poem or play. The award is named after Patrick White as he was one of Australia?s most accomplished writers and an avid supporter of the advancement of Indigenous Australian youth. He was the first Australian writer to receive a Nobel Prize for Literature. http://www.aec.org.au/wordpress/patrick-white-award/
