A surfboard that repels sharks

Stripes are the key to this surfboard's anti-shark design. As a result of bold geometric patterns, surfers are less likely to be mistaken for sea life. The main reason shark attacks occur is mistaken identity, particularly for a seal. The idea is for stripes is backed up by research by the Australian Institute of Marine Science, which found that sharks disliked the bright stripes of the venomous sea snake as opposed to plainer ones. https://www.businessinsider.com.au/disrupt-has-created-a-surfboard-that-repels-sharks-heres-how-it-works-2016-2
