Lukas Franz has created Madillo, a helmet that can detect collisions and call an ambulance if the wearer gets into an accident. The helmet is made of an auxetic material, a material that becomes thicker when stretched, to provide a better fit for its wearer. The Madillo helmet also includes smart sensors and LEDs weaved into the design. The helmet will shine whenever the wearer changes directions.
