4 Reforms to make Buses Safer

One of Australia’s leading road safety experts, Professor Raphael Grzebieta AM says Australia is lagging Europe and the US when it comes to bus safety, 

Grzebieta said "So much more can be done right now to save many more lives, We just need the political will to make it happen.”

These are four reforms he says could save lives and prevent injuries in buses:

1. Make seatbelts mandatory

2. Ejection control and rollover crash standards

3. Make black box recorders available to police

4. Unnecessary delays in the introduction of emergency braking and stability control
